Events & Activities
COVID-19 Update
Before COVID-19, we had several big events planned for 2020: marching in the Independence Day Parade, volunteering for IRONMAN Texas, and hosting road and pathway rides for adults and families.
As soon as it’s safe to gather again, we’ll host more events. And we look forward to getting out there with you when the time is right.
In the meantime, we hosted our 2020 annual meeting on Zoom. Click the button below to learn more.
Events We Host
Volunteer Opportunities
Bike The Woodlands Coalition has traditionally coordinated groups of volunteers to help staff local events, like the bag drop day for Texas IRONMAN.
Local Rides
Global pandemics permitting, we hope to host local rides this fall that appeal to families, to pathway riders, and to road cyclists. Stay tuned for information about our first brewery ride and some late-fall family rides.
Members-Only Events
In addition to our public events, we hope to offer some special activities just for our members, like the opportunity to ride together in the annual Independence Day parade.
Events Hosted by Others
Bike Month
Each May, The Woodlands joins communities across the United States and celebrates with group rides, workshops, and other events. The Woodlands Township leads Bike Month and Bike The Woodlands Coalition is a proud partner.
IRONMAN Texas
This long-distance triathlon consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile run. It is widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world. The race typically occurs annually in April.
Woodforest Bank TRI
This sprint triathlon consists of a 500 meter swim, a 12.8 mile bicycle ride and a 5K run. Each April, this USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned race hosts over 1,000 participants from beginners to professionals.
